The Talos Principle 2 is set to be released on PC and consoles this November 2023, but you don’t have to wait until then to try it out—the demo is available now. With the release just around the corner, the developers have finally shared the technical specs you’ll need to run the game on your PC. Here are the official system requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
– Operating System: Windows 10 (64-bit, Version 2004 or newer)
– Processor: 4-core CPU @ 2.5 GHz (AMD Ryzen 5, Intel Core i3/i5)
– Memory: 8 GB RAM
– Graphics: 4 GB VRAM; Radeon RX 470, GeForce GTX 970
– DirectX: Version 12
– Storage: 100 GB of available space
– Additional Notes: Intel integrated GPUs are not supported. An SSD is recommended.
Recommended Requirements:
– Operating System: Windows 10 (64-bit, Version 2004 or newer)
– Processor: 6 or 8-core CPU @ 3.0 GHz (AMD Ryzen 7, Intel Core i5/i7)
– Memory: 16 GB RAM
– Graphics: 8+ GB VRAM; Radeon RX 6800, GeForce RTX 3070
– DirectX: Version 12
– Storage: 100 GB of available space
– Additional Notes: Intel integrated GPUs are not supported. An SSD is recommended.
The developers haven’t given specific details about the target resolution or framerate for these specs. However, if you want to play the game at higher settings, you’ll need a GPU like the RTX 3070 with more than 8 GB of VRAM, along with a 6-8 core CPU. If you’re fine with lowering the settings, even a GTX 970 should suffice.
Interestingly, you’ll need a hefty 100 GB of storage space for the game, which is quite a jump from the 5 GB required for the original. An SSD is recommended for better performance, and note that the game does not support Intel Integrated GPUs.
If you’re curious about how the game plays, you can download the demo on Steam—it’s around 25 GB in size.
The Talos Principle 2 will officially launch on November 2, 2023, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.
