The Genesis X comes in a durable cardboard box with a unique white outline of the mouse on the front. The sides are Genesis red and include additional specs info. Inside the box, the Zircon X is well-padded, and there’s a bag containing the accessories: a second palm cover, wireless USB dongle, anti-slip stickers, mouse feet, a paracord USB cable, a quick start guide, and a special card.

What makes the Zircon X really special is its limited edition status, with only 1,000 units made. Each mouse comes with a certificate of authenticity. Our unit, for instance, is number 286. Weight:
The Zircon X is lightweight, focusing on portability and speed. Weighing in at 72g with the honeycomb shell, it’s heavier than some competitors but still lighter than most average mice. You can’t adjust the weight directly, but using the wireless receiver can help. Adding weight is simple: swapping to the solid cover adds about 3 grams, and placing the receiver in the central compartment adds another 2 grams.
Build Quality & Ergonomics:
Genesis has crafted a small yet robust mouse. The high-grade plastic feels durable enough to last through years of use. Squeezing it tightly causes a slight flex, but the structure quickly rebounds. The white ABS shell pairs well with bright cases and keyboards while highlighting the honeycomb interior. Its matte finish isn’t slippery, but Genesis thoughtfully includes anti-slip stickers for extra grip.
Users with small to medium hands will find the Zetron X comfortable, regardless of their grip style. For large-handed palm grip users, prolonged use might lead to discomfort. Fingertip and claw grip styles are well-supported. While left-handers miss out on side buttons, the mouse is otherwise ambidextrous.
Buttons:
The main buttons feature Kailh 8.0 switches, rated for 80 million clicks. They are responsive and produce a satisfying click sound. You can click rapidly without missing a beat. The buttons also have a bit of overtravel, moving slightly after being pressed without affecting performance. The scroll wheel is quiet and also functions as an additional button. Along with the DPI toggle and two side buttons, the Zircon X offers a total of six buttons.
Sensor & User Experience:
Any review of the Genesis Zircon X must touch on its user experience. The mouse is comfortable to hold and ergonomically friendly, even though it doesn’t have a right-hand mold. However, it can’t be used on glass surfaces, though the two Teflon feet provide smooth movement on other surfaces.
